FAQs
Typically, membership is open to children between the ages of 7 and 16. However, some chapters enroll children who are younger. If you would like to inquire specifically about your child, please Contact Us.
For a complete list of our chapters, please visit our Chapters page.
Gatherings are usually held on a weekly basis - most chapters meet on Friday evenings, while some meet Saturday afternoons. Regular meetings are held at local Armenian Centers. Chapters, at times, hold joint meetings with other chapters (these special meetings will be announced ahead of time). Every so often, chapters also have social outings. For a list of each chapter's location, please visit our Chapters page fpr more details.
Enrollment fees vary by chapter. Some are payable annually, while other chapters require monthly payments. All enrollment fees are priced very reasonably and are based on costs incurred for chapter gatherings.
As a matter of policy, the AYF Juniors does not turn away any child due to financial hardship. If you would like to enroll your child(ren), but are concerned about affordability, please Contact Us directly to receive a financial assistance application.
We do not provide transportation to chapter gatherings. Certain social outings, joint meetings and other off-site activities may include transportation - but it is not guaranteed as a service.
Each chapter has a chapter director who is responsible for supervision throughout gatherings. Depending on the number of members, chapters sometimes have assistant directors and/or other volunteers who assist with supervision.
Chapter directors are qualified individuals, with many years of experience working with children.
